Museum of Contemporary Art / Kiasma (Mannerheiminaukio 2, Helsinki) — Kiasma is a museum of contemporary art under the umbrella of the Finnish National Gallery. Its primary role is to educate the public on contemporary art and to strengthen the status of art in Finland in general.

A lively cultural center and meeting place, Kiasma is the place for pleasure and experience.  The name derives from ‘chiasm’, which stands for an intersection, particularly the crossing of optic nerves.  Admission:  €10 (adult), free for children under 18 years.  Hours:  10 am – 5 pm (Tues.), 10 am – 8:30 pm (Wed.-Fri.), 10 am – 6 pm (Sat.), 10 am – 5 pm (Sunday).
