Military Museum

Military Museum (Suomenlinna C 77, Helsinki) – this museum is dedicated to Finland’s wartime history.  It is the largest military museum in Finland, boasting a collection of more than 200,000 items and artefacts, including decorations, arms, equipment and art.  In addition, the Military Museum has more than 200,000 photographs and images.  Founded in 1929, the museum is part of the National Defence University, and welcomes tens of thousands of visitors each year.  Admission:  €5 (general).  Hours:  11 am – 6 pm (May 11 – Sept. 30).  See its website for more details:  www.sotamuseo.fi
