Café Regatta
Café Regatta (Merikannontie 10, Helsinki) — It is a small wooden hut with space for only about 4 tables inside! The cafe is stuffed with decorative odds and ends: old kitchen appliances, musical instruments, old pictures etc. – all to provide an “at home” feel. Café Regatta makes great freshly-made cinnamon buns (Korvapuustit). In wintertime it is the best place to warm yourself up. During the Summer, it’s great to enjoy the outside area, where there are many more seating options available. They have an open bonfire where you can barbeque your own sausages (sometimes they also sell them right there), also in wintertime, then you can borrow blankets and pillows so you won’t get cold! Note: no credit cards – cash only.
